We will be here Tuesday and Wednesday 11:00-7:00. New Year's Eve we'll be open 11:00-5:00 and we'll be CLOSED on New Year's Day. We will re-open on Saturday 10:00-5:00. Thanks for letting us enjoy a break, as well. :)

Its that time of year again! Happy October everyone! How are your boobs doing? Don't forget to get your mamogram to make sure everything is as it should be...

Its time for our 4th Annual "Think Pink" celebration all month long!

Our window is filled with pink pottery and a big glittery pink ribbon--all to celebrate strong women and to help erase a disease. Come on in and see what we are raffling this year...a big ol' tub! I've been painting it for a couple weeks and it is FINALLY finished. I love it (if I'm allowed to say that about something I painted.) and you will, too. All you gotta do to win it is buy one of our pink ribbon necklaces for $5, ALL the $ goes to the American Cancer Society, and you are entered in for our drawing to be held on Sat. Oct. 24th! Come on! We had so much fun at our National Pottery Convention! (Yes, they do have enough crazy pottery people from all over the world that come to do it every year.) The highlight is always the auction that raised money for the Vera Bradley Breast Cancer Foundation...our organization raised over $35,000 in one night! It was great...

Of course, we made our contribution and got this super cool plate painted and signed by Bette Midler herself!

Kansas City, here we come!

We are leaving on a jet plane EARLY Friday morning to head out to our much-awaited National Pottery Convention! This year it is being held in Kansas City. We are so excited to see all our pottery friends and learn all kinds of new things and be inspired and refreshed!

Because we can't be in two places at once...the studio will be CLOSED Friday September 11th and Saturday September 12th. We'll re-open (rather sleepily) on Tuesday September 15th 11:00-7:00. Thanks so much for your understanding...Kansas City, here we come!

Family Night!

This Friday July 3rd is Family Night at color me happy! Downtown will be buzzing with LIVE music up and down Newcastle St. , wine and beer tastings, fantastic restaurants, and fun right here with us!

Bring the whole family and paint some pottery, learn glass fusing, or even tie-dye a t-shirt...yes, we'll have kids' and grown-up sizes! :)

He worked at Disney for many years putting Mickey to bed...at least that is what he told his very cute 6 year old granddaughter when I asked him. I am very thankful that his last trip to see the mouse was our Sam's first--
what a great day.
Grandpa loved to cook and swim in his pool after a long day of gardening. He loved watching golf on TV and playing it himself. He loved to fix things or lend a hand with any project that needed doing and he always came up with a better solution than you had thought of. He loved telling stories of his fabulous life. He loved running his own business back in the day and he loved that mom and I run this one together. He loved coming here to hang out and paint. He loved us and he loved my kids. He truly was a GREAT GRANDPA.
Thank you for your understanding on our closing the store for a few days. We also greatly appreciate your kind thoughts and prayers.

These two plates we painted as custom pieces for the Relay For Life. We had so much fun and we're honored to get to create items for people to remember good work and the important things in life.

Relay For Life 2009

We had so much fun last weekend! We set up our BRIGHT PINK TENT (we were right, you could see it from everywhere!) and all our wares...

...and then we took a well-deserved rest.

We painted plates for other teams, sold pink things, t-shirts, and necklaces---all this means we raised even more $$ for The American Cancer Society!

Our inspiration! Lisia Sullins and Diane Van Arsdale were our team members that are SURVIVORS! Ladies, you did it! You fought like girls and we are thankful and honored to have you in our lives.

So, all in all, it was a long day but so great! Inspiring and moving and FUNNY...don't remember the last time I laughed so much. Honestly, it was a time for us to see how much our community cares and how we can all come together for a common goal.

Personally, it made me even more thankful for my work and how I spend my days. We had 10 amazing ladies on our team. To be on our team it basically meant that you helped us set up in 80 plus degree sunny weather, peddled our wares, brought yummy food and stayed with us through the wee hours of the morning...just because we asked them to. We've said many times that we are amazed that our customers have become our friends but it was even cooler to come together as sisters to raise awareness for a disease that effects us all.

Words cannot express our thanks for everyone's support in our fundraising efforts over the last few months. I'd also like to thank you for your continued support of our store. Without all our great customers/friends we would not be successful and our dream work would not be possible so thank you.

You are appreciated.

We are working frantically to get everything together for our big night with Team color me happy! We've been packing up pieces to sell,

tie-dyeing t-shirts, and planning food. :)

Can't wait to spend the evening with such great and inspiring ladies.

We are going to be custom-painting platters and plates for teams that night for everyone to sign to remember a good time for a great cause! We've already got a few orders so that is one more thing we've been busy doing...stop by and see us this Friday night at the event...where will we be??
