National Guard Convention

Every year we are invited to help out with the kids' activities at the annual National Guard Conference on beautiful Jekyll Island.  And every year we are honored to be able to hang out with the children of soldiers.  This year we created some pretty cool canvas projects using some cute hand prints. :)  The kids also did Sand Art and we got to see the brand spankin' new Convention Center on Jekyll.  All in all a good day!  Can't wait til next year!

fun at the Mall!

We set up shop in The Glynn Place Mall this past weekend for a Memorial Day Celebration!  We only had our best employees with us... and the cheapest really....she'll work for cookies. :)

 

 Kids enjoyed Sand Art and Canvas Painting...

We even stamped some hands and feet for some Fathers Day Gifts...but the best part?  Well, there were two.  We supported fellow local businesses and neighbors because when our local Mall is successful, we all are.  AND I got to teach my daughter why we celebrate Memorial Day and what her Daddy, Pop, Pappy and Great Grandpa did to serve their country...pretty cool.

Mothers Day is coming.  The studio has been busy. :)

Lots of gifts for Mom.  Lots of Dads not knowing quite what to do and us getting to help...

One particular platter just went out today.  This Dad really wanted a good gift.  But the kids were sick.  No problem.  I taught him how to get the footprints at home.  After chatting I discovered that Mom loves the beach and flip flops...perfect.  He got the footprints (I offered him a job...) and I finished the platter in a beachy "flip flop fun with mom" kind of way.

I texted him a picture today because I knew he would be anxious to see.  This is the response I got:
"That is so awesome!  I just got goosebumps.  (She) is going to cry her eyes out.  In a good way.  Y'all are amazing."

We've got a new event starting at our studio!  Its a sweet story time with a fun, creative twist!  We'll read a story together and then paint a project that goes along with the story...

Join us on Tuesday May 15th at 3:30 for "My Lucky Day" by Keiko Kasza and we'll paint a cute little piggy bank, too!

Its $15 + tax and space is limited so please call to sign up or visit our website (under Events, then paint me a story) to register there.

Happy Hands are here!  Its time to begin unveiling a fun new option we are soon going to be offering at color me happy...

Happy Hand Parties!  You can host the parties at the studio or at your home---yes, we will come to you!---invite your friends, the kids will play...eat, drink....and we'll stamp some hands and feet and finish the pottery for you!  PLUS if you host, you'll earn pottery bucks! :)

How fun!  But Mother's Day is coming soon...so we decided to release some of our new designs now so you can give them as gifts...come in this weekend or next and we'll have our Happy Hands Party!  Choose your piece, choose your design, we'll stamp the hands and finish the rest for you for $10.  Easy Peasy...  Gifts for Mom, Grandma, Aunts...get a jump start on Fathers Day even...we have LOTS of designs to choose from...We're open Tues-Fri 11-7 and Saturday 10-5...send Dad.  You'll be thrilled with your gift. :)

We need your help! We have been working on a new concept for a few months now and we need your opinion...color me happy is getting ready to launch an exciting party option for our studio.

It will be called Happy Hand Parties...this is how it will work. We are currently creating 10 brand new hand print and foot print designs for our kick off...You provide the print, we finish the piece for you. Gifts are easy peasy! PLUS we will come to you! PLUS you get the chance to earn FREE pottery for hosting your own Happy Hands Party!

Art Journal Crash Course

Our Art Journal Classes have been such a big hit! They have been called "life-changing" and "a 2 hour vacation"...sounds great right?

Everyone needs those things...not everyone has 6 weeks they can dedicate one night a week to a class.

No worries! Join us for a one day crash course on Saturday March 24th 9:00-12:00. We'll teach you all kind of skills and tricks to get you started down this creative road...

For the past 3 years we have had the honor of being involved with a great event here in the Golden Isles. It is a fantastic night of eating yummy food, visiting with friends, and raising money for a great charity that benefits women and children--two of our favorite things. New Events & Classes

Man Oh Man. I spent most of my morning uploading events and creating sign-up sheets for all the fun that is coming in February and March...

This Canvas will be taught twice---once for kids ages 10 & up on Tues. Feb 7th and once for grown-ups on Friday Feb 10th. $24 gets you all you need to take home a lovely and cool piece of art that you created! Space is so limited so please call and reserve your seat. 554-1900.

We've also got a Clay Class coming up to create a cool cross...you can come get a little messy... :)

Workshops for our Art Journaling series and a new round of classes starting for that...honestly, you don't want to miss it---its been life-changing for me, personally...so good.

Heart-Filled Field Trip

Why have a boring Valentine Party?? We've got all you need for the kids to paint their own Heart Plaques! We'll pack it all up for you and you take it to your school/church/home, have the kids paint their hearts out and then bring it all back to us and we'll fire them for you!

They will be ready a week from the day you bring
them to us and you'll be a hero! :)

Prices range from $5-$8 per heart depending on how many painters you have.
